If Simi had a choice in picking 2016 again, I’m pretty sure she would without hesitation. That’s how well the year went for her. It’s been an amazing year for Simi and Fal…, let’s not go there right now.
The fact that “Jamb Question” popped right from 2015 into this year is not a surprise, given the acceptance of the tune all over Nigeria and even some parts of Africa. The X3M Music superstar followed that up with another massive number in “Love Don’t Care” and that truly cemented her status as an artiste to reckon with both in and out of Nigeria.
Her feature on Falz’s “Soldier” further proved all doubters wrong and even despite getting caught in a love web triangle with Adekunle Gold and Falz, Simi never stopped making good music lovers go gaga with some nice tunes. With many dope collaborations, joining “The Bahd Guy” for his UK Tour and performing in several cities across the world and not forgetting her slot at the Coke Studio Africa 2016, she really could’t have asked for a more fulfilling year.
Her cover of “Controlla” by Drake was rated one of the very best by music pundits and with recent singles like “Outta My Head”, featuring label mate – Praiz still burning up the charts, Simi didn’t stop there as she decides to round up the year by dropping her joint EP – “Chemistry” with Falz. She really wouldn’t forget 2016 in a hurry.
She really did have a great year! Whaaattt???!!!
