GEM.In.I (also known as King GEM) is a pure and uncut hiphop artist, a great wordsmith and a huge fan of Rene Magritte paintings.
Though a graduate from the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University Of Nigeria, Nsukka, he always had a natural gravitation to hiphop music with influences ranging from Black Thought (Of The Roots) to Jay-z To Common and the entire Trybe records movement just to name a few.The disturbing increase on the mass killings of human beings and the gross misconduct going on within the country, awakened the need for him to make a bold statement with a song titled “Leader Don’t Lead Me Nonsense” (inspired by the Legendary Fela’s “Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense”). This time he is assisted with the profound spoken word artist/Poet, Plumbtifex. This record is one amongst many other impressive songs off his newly released sophomore mixtape titled “Notes Of The Native Son” (You can check that out here)Enjoy this skillfully scripted piece of work.HIPHOP IS ALIVE
