Nigerian songstress, Simi has taken to Twitter to educate the app users on the role of pregnant women in domestic activities.

On the 4th of February 2021, Simi took to her Twitter account to express her opinion regarding a tweet from a fellow Twitter user with the handle @mamatee20161075. On 3rd February 2021, @mamatee20161075 tweeted;
“So because a woman is pregnant now she won't cook when pregnancy is not sickness nitori Olorun
”
The above tweet annoyed Simi and she responded with a tweet explaining how women act differently while pregnant and the fact that not every pregnant woman would act in the same manner during the period of pregnancy. She talked about how some being able to participate in domestic activities should not be the yardstick to judge other pregnant women who can't participate in such activity. She tweeted;
This take is dangerous. Some women ARE sick when they're pregnant. Some, too weak to do anything. Some pregnancies are high risk. The fact that ur pregnancy went smoothly and u could live in the kitchen doesn't mean it's okay to judge other women that can not or DO NOT want to

Simi further explained in a series of tweets that women deserve a break from such opinions and also advised women to becareful in order not to end up with an idiot. She wrote;

Everyday we hear AND SEE the risks women go through during pregnancy, but many people still choose to be ignorant. If anything, intentionally listen to what women are saying, make the effort to UNDERSTAND...then do better.
